Why Cedar?
Western red cedar is naturally rot-resistant and dimensionally stable, which makes it well suited to outdoor use in the Southeast's humidity and seasonal swings. Unlike big-box store planters, every McDermott Studios piece is hand-built, hand-finished, and made to hold up outdoors for years, not seasons.
Built to Order
Every planter is built after you order it, not pulled from a warehouse shelf. That means you choose the stain finish and delivery option that fits your space, and your planter is built specifically for you in our Wildwood, Georgia workshop.
